Foundation Replacement
Foundation repair, replacement, house leveling, and seismic retrofitting comprise the bulk of the work we do at Anderson-Janovich. The house need only be raised a foot or two while a foundation replacement is done. In most cases, you can continue to live in the house while the work is done, and the whole process typically takes only a month.

Leveling and Repair
In this shot, a house is raised a few inches while the mudsill is replaced. A similar process would be used to level a house that has had a foundation shift. Obviously, a little stucco repair will take place at the plate line once the foundation work is completed.

Seismic Retrofitting
Many houses in our earthquake-prone area were never properly attached to their foundations. Anderson-Janovich can install the approved brackets which will secure your home to its foundation. Of course, if your home has partially slipped from the foundation, we can help with that, too. In fact, Anderson-Janovich placed a number of homes back on their foundations after the Loma Prieta earthquake of 1989.

Shoring for a Basement Install
You can see the structure used to support a house while a basement is added beneath. Notice that the basement floor is poured right around the shoring column. Once the house is lowered onto the basement walls, the shoring is removed and the basement floor completed.

Basement Installation
In this picture, you can see one portion of a house which is shored up for a basement installation. Note the rebar in place which will strengthen the poured-concrete basement walls.
